Guest Lecture: Dr. Haobo Li

The Collaborative Research Center 1415 is pleased to welcome Dr. Haobo Li from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, as a guest. As part of her scientific guest lecture titled “Intelligent Chemical Process Discovery and Catalysts Design”, which took place on March 12, 2026, Dr. Li presented the latest insights at the intersection of energy research and data science.

She emphasized that the complexity of many catalytic processes exceeds the capabilities of traditional theoretical models. In recent years, artificial intelligence has grown into a powerful tool to overcome this challenge, providing new approaches for, for example, the design of new catalysts, the development of theoretical models, and the analysis of experimental data. As a result, AI becomes an indispensable tool in energy catalysis research.
