Guest Lecture Prof. Dr. Anjana Devi
The Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) 1415 welcomes Prof. Dr. Anjana Devi, Ruhr-University Bochum, to its monthly colloquium. Within her lecture " New precursor chemistries pave the way to unearth 2D type materials” Prof. Devi highlighted the interplay between metalorganic precursors, deposition conditions and material properties of representative TMDCs (MoS2 and WS2).
Measures to circumvent the high temperatures associated with the classical CVD processes were discussed. The new precursor combinations pave the way for the direct growth of large area crystalline growth of TMDCs at moderate to low temperatures, which is a significant advantage for a wide range of applications.
The CRC consortium would like to thank Prof. Dr. Anjana Devi for her interesting presentation. We would also like to thank all participants for attending the lecture.
