Guest Lecture: Prof. Dr. Aparajita Singha
The Collaborative Research Center 1415 was delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Aparajita Singha from the Institute of Solid State and Materials Physics at Technische Universität Dresden as a guest speaker. In her scientific lecture, “Nanoscale magnetometry with NV-centers in diamond” held on July 15, 2026, she presented her research on quantum sensing using nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond, focusing on their application in nanoscale measurements of magnetic fields and other physical quantities. She highlighted how her group employs near-surface NV centers to study individual magnetic molecules and nanoscale magnetic systems, as well as how diamond surface properties influence sensor stability and performance. The talk also addressed scanning NV magnetometry for mapping magnetic structures in advanced materials, along with current challenges and future opportunities in this research field.
The CRC 1415 sincerely thanks Prof. Dr. Singha for the inspiring seminar.
