Guest Lecture: Prof. Dr. Dmitri K. Efetov
The Collaborative Research Center 1415 is delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Dmitri K. Efetov, Ludwig- Maximilians- Universität München, as a guest. During his short stay at Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), Prof. Dr. Efetov delivered an informative and highly engaging lecture on the topic “Strongly Correlated Topological Flat Bands in the Novel Class of Moiré Materials”. He specifically explained how so-called “Twist-Angle-Engineering of two-dimensional materials (“DM) enables the discovery of novel quantum states such as superconductivity, correlated insulators, and topological phases. In addition, Prof. Dr. Efetov presented the new “Quantum Twisted Microscope (QTM)”, which aids in the exploration of moiré materials such as transition metal dichalcogenides
We thank Prof. Dr. Dmitri K. Efetov for his visit TU Dresden!
