Guest Lecture: Prof. Dr. Stefan Blügel
The Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1415 is delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Stefan Blügel, Jülich Research Center, as a guest. Prof. Dr. Blügel is staying at Technische Universität Dresden during the period April 22–25, 2025, in order to meet and exchange with scientists from various research fields. In addition to the individual scientific discussions, Prof. Dr. Blügel will deliver a lecture on “Two-Dimensional Magnetic Topological Materials: an Exciting Playground for X-Tronics" on April 24, 2025.
In his talk, he will demonstrate that the electronic properties of two-dimensional magnetic topological materials are highly susceptible to their magnetic structure. Prof. Blügel is renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the theory of magnetic nanostructures and topological spin phenomena. His research combines first-principles electronic structure methods with advanced modeling approaches to predict novel quantum states in low-dimensional materials.
We thank Prof. Dr. Stefan Blügel for visiting TU Dresden!
