Guest Lecture: Prof. Dr. Teresa Gatti
The Collaborative Research Center 1415 was delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Teresa Gatti from Politecnico di Torino International University as a guest speaker. In his scientific lecture, “Exploring the Flatland of Bi-Dimensional Materials for Energy and (Opto) Electronics” held on May 15, 2026, she presented research on layered (2D) materials and their potential for energy applications. She focused on the use of 2D materials in solar cells, energy storage devices such as electrochemical capacitors, bio-compatible pressure sensors, and photoelectrochemical systems. A key emphasis of her work is the development of scalable, solution-based processing methods—such as inks and coating techniques—to efficiently integrate these materials into practical, high-performance energy devices.
The CRC 1415 sincerely thanks Prof. Dr. Teresa Gatti for his inspiring visit to Technische Universität Dresden.
