Girls' Day 2025: Insights into Chemistry
On April 3, 2025, the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1415, in close cooperation with the Graduate School (GRK) 2861, invited a total of 8 female students to participate in Girls' Day 2025. During the workshop "Insights into Chemistry," the students spent an exciting morning in the student laboratory, gaining hands-on experience by conducting simple chemical experiments. Furthermore, the participants learned what the future of chemistry might look like by having the opportunity to program their own LEGO-based chemistry robot. The workshop was complemented by a lunch with some young female scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry, as well as participants from other Girls' Day workshop offerings. In a relaxed atmosphere, the students had the chance to network and exchange ideas with the young scientists and other interested participants.
We are pleased with the enthusiastic participation in the "Insights into Chemistry" workshop and would like to thank all the participants for attending! We hope that this year's Girls' Day has sparked curiosity about the natural sciences, particularly chemistry.
