Guest Lecture: Dr. Adam Kelly
The Collaborative Research Center 1415 is delighted to welcome Dr. Adam Kelly, NOVA- University of Lisbon, as a guest. In his scientific guest lecture "Translating 2D Properties from Individual Nanosheets to Thin Films: The Journey So Far" on February 19, 2026, he explored how to overcome the “junction problem” in solution-processed 2D thin films in order to achieve large-area materials with electrical performance comparable to growth-based methods like CVD. He focused on understanding and minimizing intersheet junction resistance, identifying key structural and material parameters that limit charge transport, and developing junction-engineering strategies that enable thin films to closely match the intrinsic properties of individual nanosheets for scalable electronic applications.
We thank Dr. Adam Kelly for visiting TU Dresden!
