Controlled Growth of Large-Area 2D Heterostructures Using Chemical Vapor Deposition Routes
The project focusses on the large-scale synthesis of two-dimensional materials (2DMs) and their heterostructures (HSs) employing chemical vapor deposition (CVD) routes. Despite the recent advancements in synthesis of various 2DMs, one of the biggest challenges is to achieve uniform and wafer-scale single or highly crystalline layers of 2DMs for future technological applica-tions. This project will address these challenges targeting controlled growth of 2DMs using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) as the synthesis platform.
