Symposium
The scientific symposium „Chemistry, Physics & Devices of Organic 2D Crystals" is a new, innovative and international conference series in the field of synthetic, organic 2D crystals. The first edition of the event is scheduled for October 06-08, 2025, in Dresden and we are more than happy to welcome world-leading and recognized scientists presenting their research on synthetic, organic 2D crystals and define future trends. The symposium will enable comprehensive exchange and intensive discussions in terms of state-of-the-art knowledge, technologies as well as future perspectives. A wide range of interdisciplinary topics in chemistry, physics, materials science, nanoscience and engineering are covered. We look forward to an exciting program with excellent presentations from all over the world!
Venue & Accommodation
The venue Penck Hotel Dresden is located in the centre of Dresden and can be reached either by public transport (air plane, train, bus) or by car. For participants from outside Dresden or abroad, a limited number of rooms with special daily rates is available at the Penk Hotel Dresden. Tram stops „Maxstraße“ or „Am Zwingerteich“ are situated nearby the venue.
Take advantage of the Deutsche Bahn (DB) offer and travel to our conference starting at €58 (Deutschland-Ticket (D-Ticket)). Take a train to “Dresden Hauptbahnhof,” or “Bahnhof Dresden Mitte,” or “Dresden Neustadt.” From the train station „Bahnhof Mitte“, the venue can be reached by foot in 5 minutes.
There are parking opportuinities available at „Ostra-Allee“ or „Parkhaus Mitte“.

Poster & Poster Awards
We kindly ask all poster authors to design their poster in portrait format, DIN A0. The poster authors are asked to bring the printed poster to the event and hand it to the organizing team. The team will take care of attaching the posters to the poster walls. The order of poster presentations (exhibition days: Monday, October 6th & Tuesday, October 7th) depends on the time of event registration.

Social Activity

Autumn School
The autumn school, scheduled October 09-10, 2025, is addressed to young scientists (doctoral researchers or undergraduates) who wish to deepen their knowledge in the field organic 2D crystals. As a supplement to the comprehensive expert talks given at the international symposium, the autumn school program includes six separate topical tutorials fostering theoretical knowledge transfer, discussions and hands-on trainings. Besides teaching, a career fair will be organized icluding a variety of exhibitors.
