Physik am SamstagSchwarze Löcher – Stargate oder Staubsauger?
Schwarze Löcher sind wohl die bizarrsten und extremsten Objekte im Universum. Aber um was handelt es sich dabei eigentlich? Sind Sie wirklich Löcher im Universum? Woher weiss man überhaupt, dass es sie gibt und wie groß sind sie? Wie kann man sie am Himmel beobachten, wo sie doch schwarz sind? Nach der Relativitätstheorie von Einstein sorgen sie für schwere Störungen in der Raum-Zeit des Universums. Könnte dies sogar soweit führen, dass man Schwarze Löcher als Abkürzungen für Raumflüge oder sogar als Eingangstor in andere Universen benutzen kann? Der Vortrag versucht, das Phänomen der Schwarzen Löcher nach dem gegenwärtigen Wissensstand zu beschreiben, ihre Entdeckung und möglichen Formen in der Astrophysik darzustellen. Am Ende der Vorlesung soll spekuliert werden, ob damit wirklich fantastische Raumreisen durchgeführt werden können.
