Julian Kaspczyk
I am a postdoc at the Institute of Algebra, working at the Professur für Algebra mit Schwerpunkt Gruppentheorie. Before coming to Dresden, I did my PhD at the University of Aberdeen under the supervision of Professor Ellen Henke. My PhD project contributed to a programme of Aschbacher to simplify the proof of the classification of finite simple groups by using fusion systems. In my current research, I am still working on problems related to Aschbacher's programme. Apart from that, I am interested in various problems from the structure theory of abstract finite groups and in partial groups and localities.
