Successful completion of the doctoral procedure of Dr. Žaneta Semanišinová

On 30 April 2025, Žaneta Semanišinová successfully defended her PhD thesis "Valued Constraint Satisfaction in Structures with an Oligomorphic Automorphism Group". Valued Constraint Satisfaction Problems are a generalization of Constraint Satisfaction Problems, where each constraint comes with costs depending on the chosen values and the goal is to find a solution of minimal cost. Žaneta did her bachelor and master studies in mathematics at the Charles University in Prague. Since October 2021, she was a PhD student at TU Dresden under the supervision of Prof. Manuel Bodirsky, where she was part of the ERC Synergy Grant POCOCOP since May 2023. We congratulate Žaneta for reaching this milestone of her academic career and which her all the best for the future.
