The Förderverein für Mathematik zu Dresden e.V. pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes. The purpose of the association is the promotion of mathematics in science, schools and society. In particular:

• Promotion of students and early-career researchers in the field of mathematics at TU Dresden
• Participation in the alumni work of the Faculty of Mathematics at TU Dresden
• Support and participation in the organization of scientific conferences, colloquia and courses at TU Dresden
• Supporting students in the field of mathematics at TU Dresden
