Dirk Pauly appointed adjunct professor at the Institute of Analysis
The Faculty of Mathematics is pleased to announce the appointment of Dirk Pauly as Adjunct Professor of Applied Functional Analysis.
Dirk Pauly has worked at the Institute of Analysis since April 2022, previously as a “Privatdozent” (university lecturer). Prior to this, he was employed at the University of Duisburg-Essen for over 25 years, since 2010 also as a “Privatdozent”. From 2013 to 2018, he held a temporary professorship for mathematics with a special focus on the initial phase of studies. Since 2009, he has also been an adjunct professor at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. Professor Pauly's research focuses on functional analysis and partial differential equations; he is particularly interested in Hilbert complexes and compact embeddings as well as the analysis of Maxwell's equations. Dirk Pauly is the author and co-author of over 50 scientific papers and co-organiser of numerous conferences.
