Collection of mathematical models at TU Dresden
The website makes the database of one of Germany's largest collections of mathematical models available for on-screen research. The models are presented and classified by means of photos and text and can be viewed according to a variety of criteria or using the images.
Models make complex spatial issues tangible. This tactile sensory experience cannot be replaced by photos, drawings or virtual models. The Internet service is therefore primarily intended to stimulate independent study and, if there is interest, may even lead to a visit to Dresden.
In addition to the database, the website also provides background information and links to other collections of mathematical models.

Collection Historic calculating machines at TU Dresden
The historic calculating machines collection is located at the Institute of Scientific Computing and comprises
- Original mechanical and electromechanical calculating machines - predominantly from Glashütte - as well as an exact Dresden replica of the Leibniz arithmetic calculating machine
- Analogy devices from the period 1875 - 1960
- The development stages of the first Dresden digital computers, from D1 to D4a
We collaborate closely with the technical collections of the city of Dresden, where temporary exhibits from this collection are displayed.
The website takes you to the collection's database. The items are extensively presented by means of photos and text and can be selected according to various criteria. In addition to the database, the website also provides comprehensive background information and links to the technical collections of the city of Dresden, as well as to further information.
