Dr. Marco Salvalaglio is the winner of the 2023 MSMSE Emerging Leader Award

Dr. Marco Salvalaglio is the winner of the 2023 MSMSE Emerging Leader Award.

The journal Modeling and Simulation in Materials Science and Engineering (MSMSE) serves the multidisciplinary materials community and aims to publish new research that improves the understanding and prediction of materials behavior at scales from the atomic to the macroscopic level through modeling and simulation.

A junior researcher is defined as a top researcher who has completed their PhD in 2011 or later (10 years without a career break). A limited number of Young Investigators have been nominated by the journal's editorial board as the most talented and exciting researchers of their generation.

Dr. Marco Salavalaglio succeeded in convincing the jury with his article Gradient elasticity in Swift-Hohenberg and phase-field crystal models. We congratulate him on this award.
