Participants of SNOW Seminar 2026
Once again, the SNOW Seminar organized by the Department of Mathematics was successfully held from March 15 to March 20, 2026. Seventeen participants from the Institute of Scientific Computing, Institute of Numerical Mathematics, and Institute of Analysis gathered in Janov nad Nisou, Czech Republic, to network and explore topics beyond their day-to-day research.
Presentations were developed on the following topics:
1) Concepts of functional programming and their application to automatic differentiators
2) Implementing the HHJ element in Dune
3) Hybridized finite element methods
4) Finite strain plasticity
5) Tangential and penalty-free FEM methods for surface PDEs
We would like to thank the Förderverein für Mathematik zu Dresden e.V. and the Faculty of Mathematics at TU Dresden for their support.
