Presentation of the Chair
The group has been established in September 2016 and currently consists of a team of 12 people. We are located in the so-called Recknagel-Bau on the TU Dresden campus. Besides our experiments at external research facilities, we are in the process of extending the x-ray facilities right on the Dresden campus.
New laboratories at IFMP
Experiments at synchrotrons and, in the future, at FEL-facilities play a key role for our research. At the same time, technological breakthroughs in the field of laboratory x-ray sources and detectors enable construction of powerful in-house facilities as well. Right now we are in the process of setting up 2 such instruments at the TU Dresden. These instruments will not only provide unique research cababilities complementary to synchrotrons. They also make it possible to train students in the field of cutting-edge x-ray analytics and its use in modern solid state and materials physics.
