Thesis Topics

There are always possibilities for bachelor and master theses in our research group. The topics are in the field of quantum materials and their examination by means of diffraction and spectroscopy experiments. The work is thus directly related to the current SFB 1143 and the new Cluster of Excellence ct.qmat  (more info), which offers ideal conditions for a successful thesis. Typical topics include

• Structural investigations of new materials as a function of temperature, hydrostatic pressure or uniaxial strain.
• Cooperation in the setup of our new laboratory facilities.
• Participation in ongoing synchrotron experiments.
• Developing new tools for data analysis.
