The group Theory of Condensed Matter is one of currently six at the Institute of Theoretical Physics. It is concerned with various aspects of solid state theory.

Chair of Theory of Condensed Matter
The group consists of about 5 postdocs and doctoral students, as well as a fluctuating number of students working on their Bachelor or Master projects. The group is headed by Prof. Carsten Timm and is located in the "Bürogebäude Zellescher Weg" (BZW). Currently, the main research topics are superconductivity, magnetism, topological properties, and transport.
