After research and teaching positions at the Universität Hamburg, Indiana University, the Freie Universität Berlin and the University of Kansas, I have held the Chair of Theory of Condensed Matter in the Faculty of Physics at the TU Dresden since 2008. Currently, I also serve as Chairman of the School of Science of TU Dresden. My current research areas can be found here.
