This project investigates dynamical and non-linear optical properties of highly frustrated magnets. 2D-THz- and high-harmonics-generation spectroscopies measure and characterize new spectroscopic fingerprints in spin-liquid and spin-ice candidate materials. This will lead to insight into the dynamics and structure of fractionalized excitations that typically is hidden in the broad spectral continua measured in linear spectroscopies. An additional part the project probes the dynamics of non-equilibrium charge carriers in magnetic Weyl systems and explores possibilities for realizing novel phases like an excitonic insulator.
