C01
This project studies the thermodynamic properties and spin-lattice interactions of magnetically frustrated and topological materials up to the highest available magnetic fields (up to 95 T and beyond). For that, high-resolution specific-heat measurements (in static fields) as well as magnetization, magnetostriction, magnetocaloric, ultrasound, and occasionally electrical-transport experiments (in static and pulsed fields) down to very low temperatures (about 20 mK) will be utilized. As an extension of the parameter range in static fields, a pressure cell for hydrostatic pressures up to 2 GPa will be put into operation.
