The doctoral committee is responsible for all content-related and legal issues that you may come across during your doctoral studies.

Tasks of the doctoral committee:
1. To determine the requirements for doctoral study and/or research and deciding upon admission;
2. To decide whether or not to open doctoral proceedings according to § 6, and at that also appointing the opponent and the proposals of the Doctoral Committee in consultation with the Chairperson of a corresponding subject commission;
3. To decide upon special cases within the doctoral proceedings;
4. To decide upon the admission for the repetition of a failed doctoral performance.
DOCTORAL OFFICE:
The technical implementation of the doctoral proceedings is the responsibility of the Doctoral Office of the School of Science. Here you will find contacts for all organisational issues that may arise in connection with your doctoral studies.
