Teaching at the Division for Diagnostics and Intervention
The "Diagnostics & Intervention" professorship contributes several modules to teaching on the Bachelor's degree course in Psychology and the Master's degree course "Human Performance in Socio-Technical Systems". In terms of content, the focus is on theoretical principles and current research in the field of psychological diagnostics, ethically problematic behaviour in organizations, and the teaching of practical skills in interviewing and the preparation of expert reports.
Teaching at the Division for Diagnostics and Intervention
The Chair of Diagnostics and Intervention is responsible for the modules D1 ("Psychological Diagnostics: Fundamentals") and D2 ("Psychological Diagnostics: Advanced") in the Bachelor's degree program in Psychology. Module D1 comprises a lecture, in which the basic concepts, methods and results of the subject are presented, and an exercise (2 SWS), in which the content is deepened and applied to practical examples in the field of data evaluation.
Module D2 comprises two courses: In "Conversation management", students learn how to deal professionally with conversation situations by means of practical exercises. In the "Expert Opinion Seminar", the preparation of expert opinions on psychological issues is practiced.
The module HPSTS-10 (Diagnostics) of the Master's degree course "Human Performance in Socio-Technical Systems" focuses on psychodiagnostic principles and the topic of "ethically problematic behaviour in organizations". This module also prepares students for the DIN 33430 examination (aptitude diagnostics). In the "Research & intervention" module, which we design together with the Chair of Social Psychology, students develop and carry out practical/research projects largely independently.
