Diagnostics and Intervention
As a cross-sectional subject, "Diagnostics and Intervention" connects the psychological methodology and the various fields of application of psychology. Across different fields of application, it is of interest whether and how people's experiences and behaviour can be scientifically described, understood, predicted and, if necessary, specifically changed. Our subject is concerned on the one hand with the theoretical ideas that do exist of such processes (e.g. test theories), on the other hand with the relationship between these ideas and the methods used in diagnostic practice (e.g. questionnaires, behavioral observation, assessment centers, expert opinions).
