Maria Thissen defends her doctoral dissertation with summa cum laude honors
Prof. Dr. Wegge congratulates Maria Thissen on her doctoral dissertation defense.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Ms. Maria Rebecca Thissen on her outstanding doctoral dissertation titled: “Diversity Management: The Role of Changes in Team Composition, Diversity Climate, and Implementation in a Public Organization.”
Ms. Thissen conducted three studies on these topics. Here is a brief excerpt from one reviewer’s comments: Maria Rebecca Thissen has submitted an outstanding dissertation that makes a significant theoretical and empirical contribution to research in the field of diversity management. The work is distinguished by a remarkable breadth of the literature it draws upon and integrates perspectives from team research, occupational health, organizational development, and psychometrics. A particular strength of the work lies in its methodological range, which encompasses a large-scale longitudinal registry study (Paper 1), a multi-phase field study on implementation (Paper 2), and a complex scale-development project involving both qualitative and quantitative validation (Paper 3).
The compelling results were skillfully presented and discussed on July 14. The doctoral cap, once again crafted by the team with great creativity and care, also delighted everyone.
