Psychology on Saturday: Two exciting lectures from our department
As part of the popular event series “Psychology on Saturday,” the Faculty of Psychology at TU Dresden cordially invites all interested parties—from students to high school students, participants in the Citizens' University and the Senior Citizens' Academy, and anyone else who is curious—to gain insight into current psychological topics during the 2025/26 winter semester.
Our professorship will be represented with two lectures this semester:
- November 15, 2025: Diversity Management in Organizations – Maria Thissen, M.Sc.
→ The lecture will focus on diversity in organizations/companies. Diversity is omnipresent and can be both a hindrance and a boon to employee performance and health. The lecture will take a closer look at the psychological processes that play a role in this and explore how diversity management can contribute to a positive work environment. - November 22, 2025: Loneliness – a silent pandemic – Lena Marie Uhlmann, M.Sc.
→ This lecture will focus on how common loneliness actually is, what factors contribute to its development, how it is measured in psychological studies, and what interventions have been proven to help.
The event series is specifically designed for an audience with no prior knowledge of psychology. After the lectures, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the topics discussed and about studying psychology.
When: 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Where: Andreas Schubert Building, Zellescher Weg 19, Lecture Hall 28
Admission: free, no registration required
We look forward to seeing you there and to exciting discussions on current psychological issues!
