I studied English language (B.A. and M.A.) at the University of Tampere and after some time working in the industry, continued with studies in Cognitive Science (M.Sc.) at the University of Malta. As a part of my M.Sc. thesis project, I did an internship in the Music Cognition Group at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam. In my thesis I examined the influence of linguistic experience on the perception of musical rhythm.
In the spring of 2019, I joined the research group of Prof. Katharina von Kriegstein at the Chair of Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience at TU Dresden as a PhD student. In my doctoral research, I examine the role of subcortical sensory structures in human auditory communication in developmental dyslexia.
