Short biography
Katja Beesdo-Baum is a psychologist and board-certified psychotherapist (behavioural therapy). She received her doctoral degree in psychology at the TU Dresden in 2006 and defended her habilitation in 2010. Her research focus is the developmentally sensitive, causal-analytical, clinical-epidemiological research relating to mental and behavioral disorders as well as the identification of strategies for early recognition and intervention. In 2010 she was appointed as Assistant Professor at the TU Dresden and in 2014 as Full Professor (W3) and Chair of Behavioral Epidemiology as part of a research program funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
