Our team members introduce themselves! - Part 1
PhD student Linda Stürmlinger introduces herself
We would like to introduce you to the members of our chair team in a little more detail.
"I started my PhD in September 2020 with Prof. Zietlow, who was a assistant professor in Mannheim at that time. Back then, I had proactively applied for a doctorate with her, as her research interests exactly matched my interests and thematic ideas for the doctorate in the field of clinical psychology with a focus on family and children and the perinatal period. Therefore, I was very happy that it actually worked out and I am still enthusiastic about research in this field and grateful for the great supervision by Prof. Zietlow. A large part of my work is the assistance in the SCHWAN study, which deals, among other things, with the topics around stress and strain during pregnancy and their consequences for the interaction between mother and child and also for child development. What I find particularly exciting is the variety of constructs collected, ranging from longitudinal questionnaire data from both parents, structured interviews, psychophysiological measures such as cortisol and heart rates, and standardized observations of interactions and child development. Although my place of work is in Heidelberg, I am looking forward to the new encounters, impressions and tasks that are now coming in Dresden, which will certainly enrich my personal research and also that of our team."
