The Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology is offering a Master's thesis (MA) regarding the mental health and well-being of families in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the lives of families worldwide. The aim of this thesis is to conduct a detailed analysis of the psychosocial effects of the pandemic on families based on data from the German Internet Panel (GIP) and the Mannheim Corona Study (MCS). Possible research questions include but are not limited to: identifying risk factors for psychological distress, as well as potential protective factors and resilience mechanisms.
The thesis will involve working on a secondary analysis of existing data. Statistical knowledge and skills in R are advantageous.
