Dr. rer. nat. Ilka Böhm joined the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology as a post-doctoral researcher in April 2024. Prior to this role, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Psychosocial Medicine and Developmental Neurosciences at the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital of the Technical University of Dresden since January 2017. Before that, she pursued her doctoral studies from November 2012 to December 2016 at the Eating Disorder Services and Research Center within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technical University of Dresden under the guidance of Prof. Dr. S. Ehrlich. Her doctoral dissertation, completed in 2016, focused on "Neural signatures of anorexia nervosa: Insights into the motivational reward and cognitive control system". Her research methodologies include survey methods such as psychodiagnostic procedures, experimental psychological approaches, and fMRI, with a particular emphasis on the resting-state approach. In addition to her research, she is undergoing training as a psychological psychotherapist for adults and seeking an additional qualification for children and adolescents. At the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology she would like to expand her previous work in the field of eating disorders to include the transgenerational perspective.
