Dr. rer. nat. Johanna Kruse conducted research at the Chair of General Psychology at TU Dresden from 2016 to 2024, where she earned her doctorate in 2024 on the topic of self-controlled decision-making behavior. During this time, she gained extensive methodological expertise - from eye and mouse tracking to EEG. Following her doctorate, she began training as a psychological psychotherapist specializing in systemic therapy. Since December 2025, she has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. Here, she will examine the influence of parental psychological stress on child development and possible protective factors within the family system from a systemic perspective.
Research interests
- Effects of peripartum depressive disorders in mothers (with or without comorbid anxiety disorders) on the development of infants and children.
- Protective factors within the family system.
