From 2010 to 2021 Dr. rer. nat. Judith Buse was a researcher at the Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (Universitätsklinikum Carl Gustav Carus) in Dresden. In 2016 she received her PhD on the topic „Impaired sensorimotor gating and altered processing of predictions in pediatric patients with Tourette syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorder”. Her research interests include the neurocognitive processing of predictions, reward and loss in children and adolescents with tic-disorders and OCD. Moreover, she is interested in the influence of stress on the onset and course of tic-disorders. As research methods she uses clinical assessments, EEG, (f)MRT) and the analysis of cortisol in hair and saliva. In addition to her research she completed her training as a child and adolescent psychotherapist. Since june 2023 she has been working as a post-doc and educational therapist at the Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
