The Chair of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
Welcome to the webpages of the Chair of Clinical Child and
Adolescent Psychology led by Prof. Dr. Anna-Lena Zietlow.
As the Team of the Chair for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology we investigate the
development, maintenance, and treatment of mental disorders from early childhood up to adolescence. In teaching, we cover a variety of topics related to
child and adolescent psychology both in the Bachelor's as well as in the Master's program. In our Child and Family Mental Health Lab (CFMH Lab), we conduct research on psychological developmental abnormalities and disorders of childhood and adolescence. In doing so we focus on the biopsychosocial foundations and mechanisms in the development and maintenance of mental health problems as well as on possible prevention and treatment approaches. We are also interested in
the transgenerational transmission of mental disorders and stress factors within families. An overview of our research topics can be found here.
