New review article: the learning of social functions
A new article by Aleya Flechsenhar, Philipp Kanske and colleagues on how humans learn to be social has been published. The authors propose that social capacities, such as empathy, are flexible and context-dependent and can therefore be learnt. This perspective offers interesting new approaches to study how brain plasticity supports the learning of social capacities and how social functioning could be improved in patients displaying social deficits.
