The UFP
The University Outpatient Clinic and Research Center for Psychotherapy (UFP) is the university outpatient clinic of TU Dresden and is affiliated to the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. The outpatient clinic offers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for children, adolescents and adults. All mental disorders for which psychotherapy is indicated can be treated. A team of experienced psychotherapists works at the outpatient clinic. Treatments are carried out individually or in groups and are aimed at all age groups.
Patients at the outpatient clinic benefit from the established psychotherapeutic treatment approaches of CBT, whereby we are guided by the latest research findings. At the same time, we contribute to improving behavioral therapy treatment methods through our own scientific studies.
The UFP also implements the Institute's clinical-psychotherapeutic teaching and research tasks:
- Some patients take part in study therapies or accompanying scientific research.
- Master's students complete their outpatient internship at the outpatient clinic, where they observe therapies and carry out diagnostics or parts of therapies themselves.
- The data collected at the UFP is included in the overall data set of the unith e.V. association of university outpatient clinics.
- The outpatient clinic staff pass on research results to routine outpatient care via workshops and seminars.
