-
The effects of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on perceptual-attentional conflicts (DFG ADHD-Aging] | Study on the effects of brain stimulation on resolving conflicts between attentional control and perceptual saliency, and the mechanisms underlying these changes
- Aging & Dopamine Modulation [CRC940-B3] | This project is within the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre CRC940 and investigates the role of aging and neuromodulation in regulating the balance between complementary control processes during spatial exploration, sequential decision making and forward planning under uncertainty.
- Center for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop [CeTI] | Cluster of excellence to investigate impacts of brain development and aging, learning and expertise on goal-directed multisensory perception and action in real, virtual and augmented environments to further development of real-time human-machine interactions through the tactile internet
- Intervention & Plasticity [TRAINSTIM] | Study on enhancing flexible cognitive control and decision-making in older adults by cognitive training
- Social Interaction and Decision Making across the Adult Lifespan [SID-LIFE] |
The study investigates decision-making processes across the adult lifespan into old age and their underlying socio-affective and socio-cognitive processes. Computational modeling of age differences in social decision-making processes and multivariate analyses of brain activation patterns are used to relate brain correlates of social understanding and social decision-making processes.
-
Developmental and Tourette-related mechanisms of event file coding [TEC4Tic] | This project compares behavioral and neurophysiological correlates of perception–action event coding between patients with Gilles de la Tourette syndrome (GTS) and healthy controls across different age periods. Based on the Theory of Event Coding (TEC) the neurodevelopmental processes in frontostriatal circuits that subserve age-dependent 'developmental normalization' in GTS will be investigated with electroencephalography (EEG).
- SaxoChiLD | The overarching approach of SaxoChiLD is comprehensive epidemiological surveillance of child health and development within a changing environmental context, with special consideration of the interaction between psyche and soma.
- 6G-life | As part of the 6G-life research center, the impact of brain development and aging on multisensory perception, multisensory augmentation, motion planning, and motion execution in virtual reality is being studied.
- Auditory Associative Word Learning [Aud-Learn] | This project investigates the word learning abilities of 5-6-year-olds and 9-10-year-olds with environmental sounds. For additional comparisons, the language development is measured using a standardized German language assessment (SET 5-10) and modality-specific short-term episodic memory is also tested.
