Stephan Mende as guest on the APA Division 15 Podcast
Stephan Mende participated in the podcast series of the American Psychological Association (APA; Division 15: Educational Psychology). Together with host Jeffrey Greene, he discussed the article "Individual preparation for collaborative learning: systematic review and synthesis", which he recently published together with Antje Proske and Susanne Narciss in the renowned journal "Educational Psychologist".
The article reviews existing research results with regard to the question of whether and under which conditions collaborative learning processes can be fostered by preceding the collaboration by a phase of individual engagement with the learning content. Based on this, a heuristic model is presented and future research directions are outlined.
