TUUWI and UNU-FLORES collaborate to offer Environmental Lecture Series Winter Semester 2017/2018
Building on the success of the cooperation between the Environmental Initiative of TU Dresden (TUUWI) and UNU-FLORES during the summer semester, the Environmental Lecture Series about the Social Development Goals (SDGs) will be continued in the winter semester 2017/2018.
The lecture series will be kicked off with an opening lecture by Dr. Tamara Avellán, Head of the Water Resource Management Unit of UNU-FLORES, on Thursday, 19th October 2017, 06:30 to 08:00 pm.
The series will be structured as follows:
- 19th October 2017 – Opening of the Environmental Lecture Series and introduction to the SDGs, their historical development and meaningfulness to the member states of the United Nations
- 23rd November 2017 – Science Café by the PhD students of the Joint PhD Programme of UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden, Faculty of Environmental Sciences
- 18th January 2018 – Lecture on SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by Anika Reetsch
All lectures will be held on Thursdays, from 06:30 till 08:00 pm (room tbc, please refer to the tuuwi website)
