Study requirements
Necessary documentation:
• A degree in Biology or Medicine, or a comparable qualification
• Proficiency in English at B2+ level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language
• Sound knowledge of key biological principles and fundamental knowledge in molecular and cell biology. Aptitude is evaluated in an assessment interview.

Registration for the aptitude assessment or the NC selection process as well as application for admission to a degree program
Your degree program requires you to take part in an aptitude assessment or selection process. To do this, you must have the following documents ready. You will be informed after your online application in which form and deadline the documents will be requested from you (by post or online). Please make sure that your application number, which was assigned to you when applying online, is indicated in your application documents. If you are unable to apply via the selma portal before the deadline, you don’t need to include your application number.

Registration for the aptitude assessment procedure takes place via the faculty's online registration portal:
The following documents must be uploaded there:
• Copy of the original and officially certified translation (German or English) of the degree certificate of the required first university degree including official transcript of records. If the first university degree is not yet available: Confirmation from the first university that at least 80% of the work required for the current university degree programme has been completed, as well as information on the current average grade for degree programmes with entry restrictions (form on the Admission Office website
• Proof of sufficient proficiency in English via relevant language or academic certificates. This can take the form of:
- a certificate of general or subject-specific university entrance qualification with an advanced course completed in English,
- a certificate of university entrance qualification completed exclusively in English,
- a diploma from a university degree completed exclusively in English or
- English certificates such as TOEFL IBT 92 (New: 4.5), IELTS (at least 6.5) or comparable language certificates
• CV in tabular form (in English)
• Two letters of recommendation either in English or German, preferably by university professors
• Appropriate documents and certificates to prove the particular expertise required
