New Cooperation for early STEM Education in the Lausitz Region
TU Dresden's Smart Mobility Lab (SML) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Krabat, Lutki-Haus and Firlefanz daycare centers run by AWO Lausitz Pflege- und Betreuungs-gmbH. The aim of the collaboration is to strengthen science and technology education at an early age and to give children their first, age-appropriate insights into research and mobility.
The cooperation is based on a shared understanding of education in which the child is at the center and learning is understood as a continuous process. The daycare center and SML work together as equal partners and see STEM education as a joint task in which parents are also involved.
Regular coordination, joint activities and a continuous exchange between the participating institutions are planned. The close cooperation creates a wide range of opportunities to teach science in a practical and low-threshold way and to encourage curiosity at an early age.
With this cooperation, the Smart Mobility Lab strengthens the regional network between science and early childhood education in Lusatia and contributes to the sustainable promotion of education and science.
