Open Construction Site Day at the Smart Mobility Lab

A Behind-the-Scenes Look at a Future-Oriented Project for the Region of Lausitz

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the Smart Mobility Lab (SML) in Schwarzkollm, Hoyerswerda, will open its construction site to the public from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Interested citizens will have the opportunity to get an up-close look at one of Lausitz's most important research and structural transformation projects. Through guided construction site tours and presentations on the research areas, visitors will learn how technologies for connected, automated, and sustainable mobility will be developed and tested at the Smart Mobility Lab in the future. 
In addition to insights into the current construction progress, the event will focus on discussions with scientists and information about future research activities. Local clubs from Schwarzkollm will provide food and drink.
