Information regarding Brexit and the impact on the ERASMUS programme
With its exit from the EU, the United Kingdom has also decided in principle to withdraw from the Erasmus programme.
Exchange stays until 2027/28
Despite BREXIT, some British universities would still like to maintain Erasmus student exchanges and have concluded corresponding agreements with various faculties of TU Dresden. If the cooperation is listed in the mobility portal, you can continue to apply for Erasmus funding.
- You will continue to receive the status of "Erasmus student",
- you are exempt from tuition fees at the partner university
- and you can receive financial support: 600€/month and optionally a top-up for green travel and/or social top-ups

Visa requirements from 2021 onwards
On the website of the British government you will find an overview of the visa regulations.
For EU citizens: No visa is required for stays of up to 6 months ("visitor route"). Entry is possible with a valid electronic passport (ePassport).
For stays longer than 6 months, a visa with costs will be required from 01.01.2021 ("student route"). In addition, fees in the form of an "Immigration Health Surcharge" must be paid.
