Then apply for the "Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program" in Taiwan. This program is a joint initiative of the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK), TUD | Dresden University of Technology, and the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC). It includes a study program as well as practical training at TSMC, a global leader in the semiconductor sector.
What we offer

The six-month Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program combines a study program in the semiconductor sector with practical training at TSMC. From March to June or September to December, you will study at a Taiwanese university. The course program consists of TSMC semiconductor modules.
Following your coursework at National Taiwan University, you will complete hands-on training at the Newcomer Training Center & Fab at TSMC (Taichung) in July/August.
In addition to the tuition and program fees, the selected candidates will receive a living allowance of EUR 700.00 per month and a travel allowance of EUR 1,500.00 for living expenses in Taiwan. Accommodation is provided, but must be paid for by the participants themselves.

What you bring with you
Students enrolled at one of the participating Saxon universities or at the ➚ForLab University association, the ➚HAWtech-Hochschulallianz, or the TU9 universities are eligible to apply if they are enrolled in a master’s program or are in at least their second semester of a bachelor’s or diploma program.
Your English language skills are at B2 level (CEFR).
This program is open to students pursuing a degree in a STEM subject. Eligible subjects include:

May 15 to June 15, 2026, at 12:00 noon
You can upload the following documents for your online application:
- Certificate of enrollment
- Transcript of records
- Proof of English language proficiency (minimum B2 CEFR)
- Bachelor's degree certificate or intermediate diploma (if available)
- CV (in English)
- Practical experience relevant to the semiconductor industry (optional)
- Language skills in Mandarin (optional)
