Study Abroad in Taiwan - Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program

Then apply for the "Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program" in Taiwan. The Saxon-Taiwanese program is a joint initiative of the Free State of Saxony, TU Dresden and TSMC. It includes a study program and practical training in Taiwan at TSMC, a global leader in the semiconductor sector.

What we offer
The six-month Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program combines academic training in the semiconductor field with practical training at TSMC. From March until June 2025, you will study at a Taiwanese University. The course program consists of TSMC semiconductor modules.
Following your course work, you will complete a two-month practical training at the Newcomer Training Center & Fab at TSMC (Taichung) from July to August. You can earn up to 30 ECTS credits.
The selected candidates will receive funding in the amount of 700,00 EUR per month for their living expenses in Taiwan, a travel subsidy of 1.500,00 EUR in addition to tuition and program fees. Housing will be provided but must be paid for by participants.
Your Profile
You are enrolled at one of the participating universities in Saxony in an MA program or in the third year of your BA program. Diploma students are eligible as well if you have completed at least half of the coursework.
Your English proficiency is at the B2-level (CEFR).
This program is open to students who pursue a degree in STEM. Eligible fields of study include:
