Mentoring program for female students for career development
Table of contents
Would you like to develop perspectives for a possible future career now or do you have questions about starting a career, starting a business, balancing family and career or choosing the right Master's degree program? The WISE mentoring program gives you the opportunity to work on precisely these or other issues relating to your career and life planning in a protected environment. In a joint exchange with role models and like-minded people, you will sharpen your priorities and develop viable options for your future.
WISE offers mentoring with an alumna of TU Dresden, peer meetings, workshops and a strong women's network in coordinated modules. WISE is aimed at female students from the 3rd semester onwards, preferably from STEM degree programs.
The project runs annually from April to December. Registration is now possible, participation is free of charge. If you are interested in participating, please send an informal email to: wise-mentoring@tu-dresden.de
FAQ
Mentoring is an individual support relationship between an experienced person (mentor) and a less experienced person (mentee) in which the focus is on the needs of the person being supported. The central element of mentoring is the personal exchange between mentee and mentor in a trusting, equal and protected environment. Both professional and interdisciplinary issues can be addressed and worked on. This form of collaboration enables mentees to go through personal learning processes and also offers both sides the opportunity to gain new insights and valuable experience.
The majority of our mentors are TU Dresden alumni. They work in companies, in the public sector or are entrepreneurs or founders themselves. They volunteer to pass on their professional and personal experience and knowledge to the participants. Where possible, we put the mentoring tandems together to suit the degree program, but we are also happy to take personal preferences into account. Mentoring meetings can take place offline or online.
