Intercultural Competence at the Workplace (engl.)
Workshop (Präsenz & online)
Teaching Language: English
Discover how to turn cultural diversity into your biggest workplace advantage! This course equips you with intercultural competence - a skill every professional needs in today’s globalized world. The course is open to all students of TU Dresden, and consists of 1 onsite and 6 online sessions over the semester. You can join the Kick-off in presence to learn how the course works, the first definitions and reflections about culture, and to decide whether you can manage the course in your semester.
Using real workplace case studies, you’ll dive into the “why” behind misunderstandings and discover practical strategies for improving cooperation. You will work on concrete solutions to prevent conflicts, bridge communication gaps, and find ways to turn challenges into opportunities. The focus is on using cultural diversity as a source of innovation, creativity, and stronger teamwork. By the end, you’ll walk away with clear strategies, fresh perspectives, and the confidence to build stronger collaboration across cultures.
